AI Recipe App and Touch Screen Interactions for Invesco QQQ at the NYCWFF Event
Groove Jones worked with TH Experiential and Episode Four to create multiple digital touchscreen experiences for Invesco QQQ at the 2024 NYC Wine & Food Festival, highlighting the “Recipe for Innovation” series. The “Recipe for Innovation” experience aimed to blend the artistry of food with Invesco’s commitment to forward-thinking ideas, celebrating the companies in the Invesco QQQ ETF through a unique, tech-driven culinary challenge.
AI Recipe App: Bringing Culinary Creativity to Life
The heart of the activation was the AI Recipe App, a custom-built, mobile-friendly app that invited guests to craft recipes through guided, AI-powered prompts. Festival-goers began by selecting a recipe type, choosing between an Entree, Snack, or Dessert, and then explored a selection of 50 innovative companies from the Invesco QQQ.
Each company offered two ingredients inspired by its brand, and guests could select up to five ingredients to include in their recipe.
Once they confirmed their selections, the app generated a personalized recipe using AI, with a professional presentation that mirrored the style of Invesco’s Recipe for Innovation cookbook.
To make the experience even more memorable, guests could register to have their recipes emailed as a PDF, extending brand engagement beyond the event.
Recipe for Innovation Cookbook Viewer: An Immersive Visual Experience
Alongside the AI Recipe App, Groove Jones developed an interactive Cookbook Viewer app that allowed guests to explore the Recipe for Innovation cookbook up close. The app featured stunning photography of dishes crafted by top chefs, which guests could zoom into, immersing themselves in the artistry of the recipes.
A QR code provided easy access to a digital version of the cookbook, allowing attendees to take a piece of the experience with them.
Expanding the Experience: Upstairs Innovation Gallery and Outdoor Lounge
TH Experiential designed the upstairs gallery and the lounge area. The upstairs gallery displayed cooking utensils, branded gifts, and multiple touchscreens where guests could learn about the chefs and dishes featured in the Recipe for Innovation cookbook.
A video wall highlighted the chefs and demonstrations of the Recipes for Innovation series, adding a dynamic, interactive layer to the activation.
In the outdoor lounge, the app was accessible throughout the cookout area, creating continuous engagement as festival-goers enjoyed the festivities from day to night.
