Perot Museum Code Hero

The Perot Museum of Nature and Science, in their quest to enhance the educational and interactive experience for visitors, collaborated with Groove Jones and Bellwether Prototype to create an interactive “phygital” exhibit for the museum’s Engineering and Innovation Hall. Their creative expertise and technical prowess brought to life a truly extraordinary music sequencer named “Code Hero.”

INTERACTIVE TABLE
This impressive installation is larger than life, offering an immersive environment where visitors can actively participate in the music-making process. By pressing light-up buttons, visitors have the unique opportunity to compose their own melodies and rhythms, making music in a way that is both visually captivating and intellectually stimulating. The “Code Hero” music sequencer not only provides a hands-on experience but also serves as a powerful educational tool, demonstrating the intersection of technology, creativity, and engineering.

Light-up buttons turn into custom songs and melody visualizations in a coding-meets-creativity display, filling the hall with custom-made music and projection mapped onto the walls.

MUSIC GAME
The sequencer then displays dynamic 3D images on the physical table that are influenced by and created by the user’s inputs.

MUSIC SEQUENCER
Groove Jones developed the application that generated the visual effects on the 30-foot wall display. Bellwether Prototype fabricated the 35-foot physical table.
