Perot Museum of Nature and Science Interactive Music Sequencer “Code Hero”
The Perot Museum of Nature and Science brought on Groove Jones and Bellwether Prototype to create a hands-on experience for their Engineering and Innovation Hall. The end result was a larger-than-life music sequencer called “Code Hero” that allows visitors to create music using light-up buttons.
In a coding-meets-creativity display, light-up buttons turn into custom songs and melody visualization that fills the hall with custom-made music.
The sequencer then displays dynamic 3d images that are influenced and created by the user’s inputs on the physical table.
Groove Jones developed the application that generated the visual effects on the 30-foot wall display. Bellwether Prototype fabricated the 35-foot physical table.
