Spirit Halloween has brought the Spirit to communities for over 30 years, with more than 1,400 stores across all 50 states and Canada. Every year, the arrival of Spirit Halloween stores opening in your local town signals the start of the Halloween season. This year, the Groove Jones team got their chance to stir up some scares.
Earlier this year, the in-house creative team behind the well-known Spirit Halloween brand reached out to Groove Jones. They approached us with a specific and exciting request to craft a unique animation for the in-store Halloween Factory theme display. This collaboration aimed to bring a fresh digital and captivating visual experience to the Halloween season, showcasing the creativity and expertise of both teams.
Halloween Factory In-Store Display
Spirit Halloween stores are known for spooky displays highlighting their animatronics and sinister special effects. This year, they created their largest installation—The Halloween Factory, which highlights ghouls and specters in the Research and Development area, a Night Stalker, a CareTaker, and a Harvester of Souls in the Production area.
This display features numerous spots for taking selfies and HD displays in the background. These displays are doorways to the factory floor, where skeleton workers pack Spirit Halloween crates. Guests can watch as mischief and general hijinks unfold – critters scurry across the floor, lights flicker, and skeleton workers recklessly drive forklifts and crash into boxes.
Groove Jones designed and created the animations that play on the displays. Each door shows the factory floor and enhances the display experience.
