Edge Marketing, an Advantage Solutions Company, partnered with Groove Jones to help create a Web AR experience for their client, Smithfield. The campaign was called Finish In Style and was built around NASCAR #10 team and driver Aric Almirola.

The experience is launched by scanning a QRCode to activate the AR experience on a mobile web browser.

The AR experience included two effects. The first effect placed the fan inside the #10 vehicle behind an animated steering wheel and wearing a 3D helmet. The helmet tracks the fan’s head movements, and the visor lifts when they smile.

The second AR effect placed the fan in a Smithfield #10 firesuit. The AR effect allows fans to take photos of the experience, save them to their camera library, and share them with friends. This feature encouraged fans to engage with the promotion and spread the word through social media.
